What is your role at Wheel?
My role at Wheel is to understand the business strategy, needs, and goals as prospective clients are looking to launch, scale, or augment their virtual care offerings. We work closely together to create a solution that fits the clients current care model. Our focus is quality and this includes working cross functionally with other business leaders from clinical, technical, legal, and operational teams to empower clients to achieve their goals! A day at Wheel consists of working methodically with the team to deliver the best possible outcome for our clients and the patients they are caring for. I get the opportunity to learn from some of the best thought leaders and companies in digital health. Our team works hard and remembers to celebrate our wins along the way!
What's your personal and professional story?
I worked at healthcare startups for 6+ years before landing at Wheel. I have always been client facing and working to deliver healthcare solutions while leveraging innovative technology. I've worked across several areas in healthcare including digital health, traditional acute settings, SNFs and pharmacy. I grew up in the Baltimore area and went to school at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. I studied Business Management with a minor in Law, Justice, and Society. I get the luxury of being an uncle to my sisters' children and a big brother to the youngest of my siblings who just graduated from BU and is studying for his MCAT! Today I live in Monkton, Maryland with my wife Ashley, daughter, Amelia, and two dogs, Kila and Betsy. Outside of work, we spend time on the NCR trail, watching the Baltimore Ravens, New York Rangers, and with family and friends.
What’s your favorite Wheel moment?
Every new client that chooses to partner with Wheel is exciting! No two clients are delivering the care the exact way and that constantly forces our team to think quickly on our feet in and lead consultative conversations. When the sales process is over, my favorite moments at Wheel are watching clients go live and achieve their goals!
What do you think the future of healthcare holds?
The future of healthcare is consumer centric. Like everything else in our lives, we as consumers (yes, patients are consumers too) expect great experiences and services to meet us where we are. Whether that is a movie, ride, Rx, food or healthcare. I think we will continue to see this evolve and technology will be the leading driver behind it in healthcare. Healthcare today is still fragmented and my goal is to try and be part of that change which will impact the full healthcare ecosystem.
Fun fact?
Milk and sourdough pretzels are a dangerously good combination.
